A beautiful young woman is faced by a fearful conflict of loyalities. Her father, who has served as a spy on both sides of the Iron Curtain, is wanted by the C.I.A., and a young agent is employed to shadow him in Paris, and to entice him back to the U.S.A. A great love grows between the young woman and this man. Torn thus between duty and love, she finds herself questioning some of the common assumptions of our day, and grappling with its more perplexing problems. How she acts in this difficult situation, and how she comes to see her way ahead, is beautifully told in this intriguing novel.
