Honey gripped the straps of her backpack and ducked behind the tall weeds along the two-lane road before the headlights from the on-coming vehicle caught her. Far ahead, much farther than she could travel tonight, a glow over the horizon promised she was almost to her destination. Tomorrow, she'd start her new life.
