Rivers of Time — Jean B. Hudson

A beautiful woman emerges from the African jungle, not knowing who she is or where she is. Reclusive Dr. Heinrich, in self-imposed exile, tries to help and becomes drawn to the mystery woman. She becomes obsessed with helping a young American escape from prison, but he dies in the attempt and the tragedy brings back her memory. She leaves Africa, with the doctor, to start a new life.
