A thriller set mainly in Nepal and Tibet in 1970. Walter Melville is an American anthropologist who is persuaded by a freelance intelligence fixer to take part in a scheme to smuggle a defecting Chinese general out of Tibet and back to Taiwan with the aid of a maverick group of Tibetan guerillas.
