DEAD END
During the hot summer holidays, the quaint village of Little Endesley is rocked to its roots when the body of a young girl is found in the woods. Suspicion immediately falls on Jacko Penhaligon, a family man with an unfortunate history of child molestation.
But Detective Inspector Ian Roper reaches beyond the obvious. The absence of clues seems to indicate a random killing--a passerby who killed for unknown reasons. Some pornographic videos may or may not have any relevance, though they do offer a surprising star.
Ironically, some seemingly unconnected crimes provide Roper with the solution: a vendetta as old as a tragedy--and a killer willing to wait until his victims are ripe for revenge.
