Henry hustles to earn enough money to buy a homestead, but Ruth, realizing Henry's failing health, grows impatient. Having saved every penny she's earned working at the restaurant since she was fourteen, Ruth plans to purchase her family farm back and wants Henry to bid for her at the auction. Feeling inept as a provider and working his fingers to the bone, Henry takes offense and refuses to help her. Amos agrees to bid for Ruth, but together, the women form a plan to resolve all issues. Henry learns wisdom gleaned from The Fourth Commandment in this story.
This is the fourth book in Rebecca Byler's new The Amish Ten Commandments Series.
