This collection of 24 picture puzzles, or rebuses, was originally published between 1868 and 1874 by McLoughlin Brothers of New York. Rebuses, which were popular for children in the 18th and 19th centuries, use pictures to represent words or parts of words. Questions and answers for the 24 puzzles are found in the back of the book.
