After several millenia living on earth, Col. Zephan ben Pesach, a Kharusaani Longtail, thought he had seen and heard it all. King Solomon in all his wisdom had stated 'There is nothing new under the sun.' Zephan had seen enough of humankind to know that to be true, until he learned that another of his kind had mysteriously appeared, this time in the form of a frail creature whose expiration date had obviously long passed. But there was far more to this ancient fellow than Zephan could possibly grasp. This one was different, even from him, and even from Aignatius, his fifteen hundred year old, golden-maned, Longtail counterpart.
