San Diego Fire Chief Dutch Lapp has run into hot water on her latest rescue mission. She's transferred to a local fire camp for some muchneeded R&R, but inevitably finds herself back in the hot seat. This time in the form of Violet Hastings, a quiet and contemplative inmate working at the camp. Violet is trapped in a life she is desperate to escape, which Dutch can relate to all too well. A slow burn starts to ignite when the two meet, as Dutch introduces Violet to a world completely different to anything she's ever known.
