Place of Mists — Bill Knox

The assassination in New York of an Arab U.N. delegate signals a crisis that could flare into war, and Talos Cord of the U.N. 'peacemaker' section is sent to Morocco to guard the visiting president of a strife-torn Arab republic. Once there, Cord finds himself enmeshed in a strange pattern of fear, distrust, and old hatreds. He is faced with violence and danger, and events move swiftly toward an action-filled climax high in the Atlas Mountains.
