Mandy and Jake didn't mind living in a museum. And they didn't really mind their last name, Strange. But when the lights went out at the Strange Museum, Mandy would rather have been anywhere or anyone else. Mandy was especially afraid because she knew weird things would happen if she touched anything in the museum after five o'clock. What's worse was she'd left her homework in the basement. She and Jake were very careful not to touch anything.

But the basement was a mess. And when Mandy accidentally touched a lantern, she and Jake found themselves in a place and time when pirates ruled the seas.
