For Patrick it was summer -- no school, no Sister Joseph, a time to have fun with his friends. Patrick and his friends, “The Dynamiters,” had all of their plans made. This was going to be their summer, a summer for fun and pranks. The plan was set until the “unfortunate incident,” after which Pat is faced with the possibility of spending the summer alone. That is, until Caddy comes into his life. Between Caddy's antics and Pat's grandfather's boyish need for excitement, his life will never be the same. It isn't all fun and games, though. Pat is faced with some important questions. His beliefs are challenged, and his family ties are strengthened.
