The undead don't clock off...
It's three months since the Zombie Apocalypse, or the Fall, as survivors call it. Sergeant Allen and his three remaining soldiers do what they can to keep themselves and a group of civilians alive in what is left of England.
Driven by the horrors he has witnessed, and the hope that his ten year old son is still alive, Allen is determined to find a sanctuary for himself and the refugees, a place where they can start to build their lives again.
On the road to Cornwall, an empty office block seems as good a place as any to rest, recuperate, and resupply. On awaking after the first night, however, Allen realises the terrible mistake he has made.
The building is surrounded by hundreds of zeds. No way out, no escape, and the zeds keep coming. To add to his problems, people are beginning to question his leadership; is he up to the job?
Can Sergeant Allen find a way out of their prison? Does he have what it takes to keep everyone safe, and to keep the group together? Or will civil war be as much a threat, or more so, as the undead jailers surrounding them?
Overtime is a fast paced zombie thriller, the third novelette in the After the Fall series, the story of the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse. Each story is told through the eyes of a different set of characters.
