One White Christmas In Alabama — Barbara Scott

This children's book is about a sweet dog (Bichon breed) named Millie, who wants to make her owner's dream of a white Christmas come true. Millie is very creative when it comes to decorating their Christmas tree! Pictures and text appear on alternating red and green colored pages. Individual paw prints are located on the bottom of each page, to serve as a counting tool, in determining what page the child is reading. It is written to help children understand the love and compassion involved in creating close bonds with pets. A recipe for dog treats is included, to encourage a hands-on activity for a child and adult to share together.
