My psychic cat O'Leary and I have shared adventures ranging from encounters with vampires to ancient fire-breathing Etruscan monsters seeking to singe our very souls.
But we've never experienced anything a seven-inch-tall, purple spiky-haired, mischief-minded figment of the imagination â€" a fairy named Zelly. She tricks me into inviting her into our home, and by fairy rules, once she's in, she doesn't have to leave until she's good and ready.
And Zelly is in no hurry to leave. Not when there are cats to tease. humans to torment, elderberry wine to guzzle and a baby to covet . . . She's here to stay and she's a major pain in the patootie.

As O'Leary meowed, A gateway to alternate realities in the basement, a garden teeming with malevolent sprites . . . sounds like your average small town Victorian house to me. What the heck do we do about it?
I don't know, but it won't be pretty. It'll be trouble. Big trouble. And we haven't even met the goblins yet.
