THERE WERE DEFINITELY CHALLENGES TO BE OVERCOME----the miles that kept them apart, a mutual timidity, and their own determined unwillingness to risk relational failure. SOMETHING NEW WOULD BE REQUIRED to fulfill the promise of their first moments together. There were friends to help them along the way. But success would require something more. PERHAPS SOMETHING AS UNLIKELY as a dose of October boldness.
