Nurse in New Mexico — Constance Lea

As a reward for qualifying as an S.R.N., Nurse Tessa Maitland's parents pay for her to fly all the way to Santa Fe where her married sister lives. As well as having a wonderful holiday, the idea is that Tessa can keep a watchful eye on her sister, who is about to have a baby. Tessa throughly enjoys herself in New Mexico and meets Tony Arretino, a talented artist of Navajo descent. But Marigold's attractive doctor, Blair Lachlan, suddenly starts acting very strangely whether he dislikes her intensely or is madly in love with her.
