Nurse at Villiers — Elizabeth Kellier

Beautiful but wild, the Pyrenees loom above the chateau where Nurse Judith Seton struggles to cope with her difficult patient, Madame Ruddler, Villiers' land manager Garth Massingham, an odd assortment of other characters including her own happy-go-lucky cousin who arrives out of the blue, and the reckless Paul Guis. Then, discovering to her horror that someone is attempting to blackmail Madame Ruddler, Judith begins to suspect almost everyone. Events build up until, abruptly, Judith has to face the fact that here at Villiers she herself is in the greatest danger.
