Best laid plans, it has been said, often go awry. Such is the case when Roy and Herb pull into the small tourist town of Paradise, intent on ripping off the blue-haired oldsters at the gift shops. "Nothing can go wrong," Roy tells Herb. But Herb is familiar with things going wrong. He's a recent parolee and is in the care of his parole officer. Thanks to a summer internship program between Roy's community college criminal justice program and the county parole board, Roy happens to be that parole officer. Having had his own share of troubles in his life, Roy believes that cash in hand will bring him the sense of justice he deserves. Justice, however, comes in many forms. And the residents of Paradise mete out justice in a way that neither Roy nor Herb can anticipate.
