On her own
Copper Jones is used to taking care of herself. Her mom has her own problems to worry about, and Copper's stepfather is always busy with his job. But things have gotten worse lately, and Copper must go stay with relatives...who don't really want her.
After getting kicked out by both an aunt and uncle, there's only one person left for Copper to stay with: weird Aunt Maggie. Copper is sure she won't last long there -- until she discovers that Aunt Maggie's a lot nicer than anyone ever realized.
Now that Copper's found someone who cares about her, all she has to do is stay out of trouble. Because if she blows it this time ...there's no place else for her to go.
