Kiernan O'Shaughnessy's cook is an ex -- football player--big, brawny, and deft with a glazed quail. But Tchernak has always longed to be a detective. So when Kiernan, a former medical examiner, is called to the Nevada desert to investigate a dead body, Tchernak makes his break.
