Nine Pelicans in a Row is a lively tale of adventure, discovery, wildness and fellowship. A small band of seabirds befriend a trio of young bottle-nosed dolphins. They fly and swim together through a wondrous yet dangerous ocean world, braving together many hazards, including a fierce storm, a harrowing lee shore, a wily hammerhead shark, a tuna seiner and other perils of the sea. When one of the exuberant dolphin pups is captured by a marine park vessel and taken to AquaWorld, a marine theme park, the intrepid feathered and finned band searches the coast for their young friend. When Brown Bart, a brown pelican, discovers the young dolphin, the seabird and dolphin fellowship plot together to free their beloved companion back to their ocean home.
