Posh Santa Barbara offers everything money can buy, including solitude. Her Jake Sands, 'recover' of missing things, can mourn his tragic past and ignore the future. When Jake finds a murdered man in his own neighborhood, he covers his tracks and leaves the scene. But the case haunts him, as does a gorgeous woman with a missing husband. Then the two cases merge in deadly and unexpected ways.
