"Nesbitt Red Squirrel" tells the story of a rather silly young squirrel whose playful prank goes horribly wrong. Nesbitt imagined that this prank of his would have all his woodland friends in stitches of laughter; that it was destined to go down in history as a legend of a prank, but all it ended up doing was upsetting everybody terribly. What did Nesbitt do? Why are the creatures of the Glistering Wood so upset with him? How is he going to make amends? In "Nesbitt Red Squirrel," Fidean explores the fallout that occurs when we don't think through our actions carefully enough. Nesbitt discovers the hard way that his actions have consequences and, in addition, how to make amends for the hurt he has caused. This story unfolds in a woodland setting with woodland animals playing the dominant roles in the story.
