Kate Clancy goes on her first ski trip only to find that the Utah mountain lodge where she is staying is supposedly haunted.

Kate dismisses the rumors. And when her own luggage is stolen -- the west footprints left behind definitely do not spell ghost. There's a real person behind the trouble, and Kate and her new friend Bobby are determined to find out who.

But as they get closer to the truth, the situation gets worse. Until Kate finds herself face to face with a menacing villain on a treacherous mountain ski slope.
