When Kaleb steps in a puddle of water on the floor while brushing his teeth, his red socks soaks up the water. He tells his mother what happened and calls his socks red soaks. She explains that they are socks that soaked up water, and are therefore called wet socks. He insists that since the socks soaked up the water, they must now be called red soaks. His mother allows him to use his imagination and gives in to his reasoning.
