Leeann Bewely is running from the past and decides to move back to her hometown of Badger, Minnesota where she's looking for new beginnings. Soon, unexpectedly a body lands on her business doorstep and Leeann finds herself spending more time uncovering the truth about the killer than baking donuts. Her shop is suddenly filled with curious customers, each of whom Leeann sees as a possible suspect. With the help of her high school crush and a neighbor whose husband seems to be up to no good, the trio spends night and day looking through clues. The sheriff continues to try to keep Leeann off the trail, preferring to spend his days relaxing than following the leads she brings. But she's determined to see those at fault put behind bars.
