Despite her family's disapproval, Zoe Drysdale has worked long and hard to build her boat maintenance business into the self-supporting success that it is. But suddenly, when a pair of shady and shoddy workmen show up on the docks with their own brand of promotion, Zoe's customers seem all too willing to believe the worst about her reasonable prices. But the worst is yet to come: Zoe boards a neighboring craft to see just how poor the quality of her competitor's work really is, and finds one of her fickle customers dead in the water - literally.
