At Custom Card Creations, a specialty store in small-town Virginia, Jennifer Shane can show you how to make all kinds of personalized greeting cards. But what kind of sorry-for-your-loss card is appropriate when your worst enemy has just been murdered?

Jennifer Shane is stunned when she's named Businessperson of the Year. The presentation party draws folks from all the surrounding counties, and not one of them cares much for Chamber of Commerce president Eliza Glade, who considers the yearly gala her night. But the overdressed, over made-up, and over-the-top Eliza has no idea that her big night will also be her last.

Among Eliza's enemies, the Shane sisters may have been her worst. As they're trying to clear their names, another person is murdered. Now Jen fears for her life, her sister's life, and her store, and an easy resolution is not in the cards.
