Moscow Magician — John Moody

Viktor Nikolaich, black marketeer, becomes caught up in a subversive KGB/CIA plot as militiamen are murdered on Moscow's streets and Russian guards disappear from outside the US Embassy. He attempts to escape to the West but the KGB are never far behind.
