Prophecy says Nahtan will reclaim the throne from the Archbishop of Herridon--a cruel man who has become the pawn of the fallen god Zared. Mo'ani's Way follows Paki, a boy who was taken from his parents at the age of three to pay the Archbishop's tithes. Sold into slavery, his birth name is virtually forgotten during his seven years with his master. Paki eventually finds himself in the company of Kile, the Captain of the Guard of an army of Mo'ani Warriors. From Kile, Paki learns the truth about the cost of freedom and about the prophecy of Nahtan. He also meets Mo'ani himself; a legendary warrior preserved by the god Zakris--Zared's brother--to train Nahtan's armies.
