One extra-nice spring day with an anything-may-happen feeling in the air, Miss Know It All appears on the doorstep of The Good Day Home for Girls. All 28 girls are amazed at everything Miss Know It All knows -- the length of a giraffe's tongue, how much water a camel can drink and how to make invisible ink. But when one girl, Tatty, asks her a riddle, her mouth drops open. Miss Know It All doesn't know the answer!

Miss Know It All announces that she must stay at The Good Day Home until she finds the answer. While she's there she shows the girls all sorts of magical things -- her music box ballerina, her bottomless box of chocolates. And then one day Tatty learns something…and suddenly all the girls are afraid that now they'll lose wonderful Miss Know It All forever!
