Minor League Misfits — R. William Rogers

Even though Stacy Milner has a much different goal in mind, she doesn't expect nor even want any special treatment. She just wants a chance to show the other ballplayers what she's brought to camp. With the rest of the team caring more about getting to the show than putting in the work that is essential to making achieving that goal even a remote possibility, she manages to come up with a method for fixing what is broken. But when the owner and his oversexed troublemaking daughter, Lola, are kidnapped and held for ransom by a couple of syndicate thugs who work for a bookie that is owed money, a whole lot of money, in fact, everything positive that has been achieved up to that point threatens to derail. It is then that the bunch of misfits take a timeout from baseball and finally come together as a team while they take care of business.
