Miranda Kirk meets Detective MacKenzie Torrence when her vintage clothing store, Buckles and Bows, is robbed. While investigating the crime, Mac falls for the pretty store owner. Miranda has no intention of tying her life to that of a cop, even one as appealing as Mac. Violence has already cost her a father, who was a beat cop. She can't risk losing someone else she cares about the same way.
Mac knows he and Miranda have something special between them. It's never been this way for him before. He knows she feels the same way, but fear is standing in the way of accepting her feelings. Is his determination equal to the task of convincing her that they belong together?
