Marooned on Spook Island — B.R. Emrick

Colorful passengers and crew on a sailing vessel are snared in a bizarre storm and become beached on a beautiful and uninhabited island. After exploring a three-century-old inn, found in a jungle full of baffling birds, they discover their ship has mysteriously vanished. Fortunately, the island is a perfect place to await their rescue--until the black of night creeps in and the original owner hungrily welcomes his unfortunate guests.
