Margaret Normanby — Josephine Edgar

Going against Victorian society, Margaret Normanby begins work as an apprentice in a dress-shop to help support herself and her mother after her father abandons them. She works her way to the top of her profession, but her personal life remains unfulfilled as she bears her lover's child, but still knows she must give him up.
