When the moon leaves Earth's orbit it is heralded by an ominous sound that spreads across the globe, the word Soon. While the planet is left pondering the significance of this, one man is tasked against his will with bringing the moon back. But when he is detained by the government, kidnapped by a religious cult, abducted by aliens and banished from heaven, things seemingly go from bad to worse. The planet is running out of time and the moon appears to be leaving for good, and for good reason. With help from his girlfriend, a rogue FBI agent, the Inernational Brotherhood of Teamsters (Freight Division) and possibly Satan, it appears as if there might be a way to save the world and bring back the moon, if only there were more time... At various turns humorous, thought-provoking, enlightening and offensive, the novel explodes (not literally) with action as the race is on to save the Earth, which does explode (literally).
