Seventeen year old Kaitlin Scott has lived in the glass house for as long as she can remember, and she has thought of the place as a prison for just as long. Her mother works as a live-in maid for the wealthiest family in the city, the Moores. Her mother's live-in position also puts her in close proximity to her bosses' son, the boy she's had a crush on since she knew what a crush was. Too bad he doesn't seem to feel the same way. Distraught after she discovers her mother's affair with Mr. Moore, Kaitlin and Max turn to each other for comfort. Things take a turn for the worst when Mrs. Moore suddenly turns up dead. In the wake of his mother's murder, Max Moore asks Kaitlin to do the unthinkable, prove her mother and his father are responsible for Mrs. Moore's death.
