Minnesota BCA Investigator Jon Frederick studies the list: A hunting accident. A country home break-in. The disappearance of a runaway. Not so shocking, until he considers all of these crimes occurred within 30 miles of each other, in less than a year's time, in rural Minnesota. The summer of 2019 brings heat, rain, passion, and deception. A smoldering, romantic tryst between a local Christian man and a Muslim Somali woman becomes entangled in the case.
