Lucky Stars — Pat Roy
1869, Hope Springs, Colorado. Leon's looking for a stiff drink and a loose woman. Marjorie's on the lookout for a temporary husband who will sign those homesteading papers, then ride on out of town.
Marjorie's had it with men who take off the first time anyone waves a flag, a skirt, or chunk of gold in front of him. Men are wanderers by nature. She's seen what waiting for a wanderer does to a woman and desires no part of it. Which is fine by Leon, as he has no desire to be a sodbuster, or a husband either for that matter.
But desire finds them anyway and pulls them under. Now Leon has to figure out how to prove he's a man worth keeping around, and Marjorie has to decide whether Leon's worth waiting for.
