Like Ebenezer Scrooge from the beloved story, A Christmas Carol, Emma is visited by ghosts of the past, present, and future. Will she be inspired to forgive and follow her heart, or will her Christmas wind up a total humbug? __________ Emma Charleston has had a rough couple of weeks. So, when her grandmother asks her to help with last-minute details on the costumes for Sweet Grove's annual play, A Christmas Carol, she agrees. What she doesn't expect is to see her recent ex, Toby Whitaker, in Sweet Grove, too. He's the guy who broke her heart and sent her running from New York and to Sweet Grove in the first place. Like Scrooge from the play, she isn't very nice to him when she sees him. But just as Scrooge was given a dream of his past, a look at his present, and a glimpse into his future, Emma is shown how she may have misunderstood the thing Toby did to break her heart. Can she look beyond Toby's unintended misstep long enough to see him for who he is? It'll take a little meddling from their kindly grandmothers, but if it works, Emma and Toby just might get their Christmas miracle after all.
