For some time now, popular and pretty Chrissie had been dying to get Adam Norwood, brightest of the Norwood triplets, to notice her.
And now she had the opportunity.
She had persuaded her parents to allow her to invite him, his sister and her boyfriend, for a romantic weekend in the Sierra's where Chrissie's family had a vacation house. It was the perfect setting : beautiful scenery, a lake for canoeing and fishing -- surely he would fall under her spell.
It was certainly worth a try.
