He was from Alabama and she was a Virginia native. They met in high school when his family relocated to the area and became good friends. Their friendship lasted until he left for college.Upon his return four years later, they met again. However, the circumstances were quite different. He had been in school most of his life and she was now a single mom. As time passed, their relationship became more serious as they fall in love.Joe's family disapproved! They viewed Brenda as a promiscuous local girl and did not want him to take on the responsibilities of a ready-made family. Brenda's family, on the other hand, supports them in their quest for happiness.
