Shandra Clinton would never understand Quince Morgan. One moment she felt sure that she and the handsome young forester shared a special love--that they could even communicate from a distance by looking at the same star in the sky. And in the next moment she felt that he was a total stranger and didn't like her at all. Surely if Quince care about Shandra, he would stop discouraging her from fixing up the old Georgia plantation house she had recently inherited.
And even more surely--if Quince loved Shandra--he wouldn't be seeing so much of Louise Kingsway. Shandra's head could add up all the facts. But why wouldn't her heart listen?
