Lindsay's escape was Hillcroft, a run-down riding school. She needed to escape, from her cousin Martin, who considered their future marriage a foregone conclusion, and from her over-possessive father...Her first visit to the riding school led to an unfortunate encounter with an irate farmer, but Lindsay was not going to allow anything to turn her from her plan. She bought the riding school, but problems piled up and she seemed to have inherited the run of bad luck suffered by her predecessor.
