Shelby Porter doesn't like Sheriff Sawyer McIntyre and everyone in town knows it. The only person in town oblivious to their feud is Dolly Porter, Shelby and Sawyer's daffy, much-loved aunt. Dolly's health hasn't been good of late and she worries about Shelby's single status. To ease her mind, Shelby tells a little white lie that gets twisted by misunderstanding until she's standing in Sheriff McIntyre's bedroom at three o'clock in the morning with a request: "Lie for me." That's when things get really scary. Shelby has to find a way out of the fake romance even as Dolly recruits the whole town into planning a fall wedding.
