During the Ming Dynasty lived a young Chinese girl, Li-Hua or Li-Li for short. Her merchant/trader father was wealthy enough to support three wives and their children. Li-Li, born to his Third Wife, was his youngest and most curious child. 'Li-Hua' means 'pear blossom', but when mysterious thefts occur, Li-Li should have been named 'Zhentan'--the word for detective.
