Selina Blanch had apparently gone missing after leaving a troupe of dancers. Her estranged husband, Leonard Dowling was only concerned that he was unable to get his hands on the money she had left him in her will. He turned to Sam Grant for assistance and although Grant wasn't keen on missing person cases, he also needed money and accepted the assignment. When Horace Grimmer and Victor Barron appeared on the scene, however, Sam had grave doubts about these two unsavoury characters, until Grimmer made him an offer which he couldn't refuse...
