Lawson and his weary companions have set out west to find Victory Island, the only place left on earth where they might find acceptance and permanent safety.

But Jenny has seen something terrible in her dreams. The evil they thought they'd left behind is after them once again. Blood-thirsty cannibals are about to rise from their cryogenic coffins by the tens of thousands. They will flood out from dozens of buried installations scattered throughout the land.
