Lady Tilly Markham has no interest in marriage but her family is in dire straits and she is suddenly faced with her duty: marry well and marry quickly. Stephen Hepden, Duke of Portbury would fit that role admirably but he has caused her heartbreak in the past and she can't let that happen again. She must find a solution. It's an audacious plan - well two plans, really - the first is to exact revenge on Stephen Hepden and the second, with the help of her brother, Freddie, is to win the Clifton Cup.
